We held some special after school gardening club sessions. We invited parents, grandparents and friends to come along and help us make imaginary flowers from old, clean packaging we had collected. We had a fab time. Ms Francis took our creations along to the Keith Horticultural Society Flower show and some of us even won prises ! We hope you enjoy this short film about it all.

Potato Growing Competition

Alan came back to school today to help us lift our precious potato crop. We had grown 1.7Kg of Smile and 90 tubers. We had grown 2.22Kg and 45 tubers of Rocket. We really enjoyed ourselves and would like to say a special 'Thank you' to Alan who helped us along the way :)

We met Gary during the last Organic Garden video conference and we got in conversation with him. We asked him all sorts of questions and he was really kind to answer them all. He then sent us a ppt of his part of Australia. We hope to make a ppt of our local area next term to send back to him. The bit about the Bower birds being pest in the garden is really interesting...we didn't realise these beautiful and intriguing birds were such a nuisance!

Organic Garden Chinese New Year Report

Today the children in the nursery came to help us celebrate Chinese New Year when we video conferenced with our Organic Garden friends across the world. At 3 minutes and 10 seconds you can see us dancing on the film. At 3 minutes and 44 seconds you catch a glimpse of our Slovenian inspired 'klopotec' bird scarers.

We have learned this song with Suzanne from Findhorn as part of our 'Living Machine' project. We care about our environment and this project has shown us how we impact on our environment both locally and globally. Hope you like our performance :)
